Kelly Turner has specialized in interior architectural features since she first started in the interior design field. She began her career working with builders on homes and remodels concentrating on the architectural built-ins, details, selection of materials, finishes, lighting, furnishings and artisan ironwork. The most prominent characteristic of Kelly is she understands color, scale, light, space, and creates sophisticated, timeless looks.
Kelly created the architectural details for projects that won several Design Ovation and Honorable Mention awards for the American Society of Interior Designers. Besides residential homes she renovated and furnished hotels in Atlanta, Detroit, and Dallas. She also worked with a developer of a multi-family units in Riverside. Kelly was a participant in the Pasadena Showcase House, built in 1915, and designed by Reginald Johnson, who is known for his Spanish Colonial Revival style homes.
Recently, Kelly’s project in the Sunset Plaza area in Hollywood Hills, has been chosen for an upcoming ad in Luxe Magazine. In addition, Dallas Home Magazine printed the architectural detailing of a French Moderne home, which shows off the high gloss lacquered Ribbon Sapele Mahogany built-ins. The Alpha Kappa Theta Charity Design Showcase House in Dallas featured Kelly’s custom designed ironwork.
The thing that sets Kelly apart from other designers is that she works hand in hand with the contractor, providing detailed construction drawings and 3D modeling. Contractors and designers that work as a team during the process, can evaluate alternative materials, identify issues, and communicate easily, there is less room for mistakes and the project moves forward much faster and less mistakes are made, therefore saving time and money.
We know that design impacts lives, so we are here to help you make informed decisions that will elevate the value of your design. We take into consideration important factors such as lighting, color, texture, and flow. Our goal is to create spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also promote thriving and vibrant environments to live, work, play, heal and learn.
